President Akufo-Addo has appointed the Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin as the board chairman of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
He takes over from Herbert Krapa who was recently appointed as Minister of State-designate for the Energy Ministry.
This is contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the President Nana Bediatuo Asante.
“The President of the Republic has nominated Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin (MP.), Member of Parliament for Effutu in the Central Region, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (the “Company.”
“Kindly take the necessary steps to give effect to the Presidents nomination in accordance with the Companies Act 2019 (Act 992) and the Regulations of the Company,” the letter said.
