8 MPs Sponsoring Public Assets Protection Bill

Some eight Members of Parliament are sponsoring the fight against state capture in Parliament.

These Members of Parliament are sponsoring a Private Members’ Bill aimed at prohibiting politicians, politically exposed persons, judges, high-ranking security officials and other state functionaries from purchasing state assets.

The Members of Parliament are from both sides of the house and believe that state capture must be a thing of the past.

The Public Assets Protection Bill, 2024 has the following sponsors:

1) Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (NDC MP, North Tongu)

2) Hon. Kwaku Agyeman Kwarteng (NPP MP, Obuasi West)

3) Hon. Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu (NDC MP, Madina)

4) Hon. Dr. Dickson Adomako Kissi (NPP MP, Anyaa-Sowutuom)

5) Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey (NDC MP, Krowor)

6) Hon. Yves Hanson-Nortey (NPP MP, Tema Central)

7) Hon. Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey (NDC MP, Keta)
