Black Stars head coach Otto Addo remains confident in Ghana's chances of qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations despite a surprising 1-0 defeat to Angola.The loss, suffered at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, ended Ghana’s 24-year unbeaten streak at the venue.Following the Group F opener, Ghana ranks third with zero points, trailing Angola and Sudan, who both secured 1-0 victories over Ghana and Niger, respectively.Speaking in his post-match press conference, Addo expressed optimism, citing the team's second-half performance as a key positive. "The second half (performance) makes me very confident. The good thing is it’s all still in our own hands. We will play against all the other teams in the group and it’s all in our hands. We don’t depend on nobody to qualify at the moment and this is the good thing. This is a positive thing," he said.Ghana will look to bounce back in their next qualifier against Niger on Monday, September 9th, as they aim to reignite their AFCON qualification campaign.
