Gospel musician Noble Nkestiah has revealed attempts by some colleague gospel musicians to take his life.

He said he had gone to Obuasi for an event where he was billed to perform with other colleagues.

When they got to Obuasi, they went for some radio interviews, but since he was very popular by then, every caller wanted to talk to him.

He believes this action by the callers made some of his colleagues so jealous that they decided to poison him.

So after they got to their hotel, he ordered food but before he could receive the food, a mentally ill man had entered the hotel and poured the food he ordered away.

Noble Nkestiah was speaking to Emelia Brobbey in an interview on her show Okukuseku the talk show.

“I went for a programme in Obuasi. Before that programme, I went for an interview; I was very popular, so anyone who called on the show wanted to speak with me. Also, I was at the radio station with my other colleagues in the industry, who got jealous because the callers didn’t recognise their presence,” he told the host.

“I went back to my hotel to prepare for the programme that made me travel to Obuasi. I ordered food before going to freshen up. I was in the bathroom when I heard noises in the hotel’s parlour. I went out to find out what was happening. Not knowing, a mentally ill person had entered the hotel and poured the food I ordered away. Amidst the commotion, the colour of my food changed. My food was poisoned,” he added.
