Broadcast Journalist, Nana Aba Anamoah has defended Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s position that Vice Presidents have no power to make decisions.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has been criticised for going against his political party policies.
The Vice President has promised to do away with some taxes introduced by his government.
However, most Ghanaians have argued that since he is in power he should implement them before December 7 elections.
In a post shared via X, Nana Aba Anamoah who has been in the political space for years indicated that if everyone will be truthful, Vice Presidents in Ghana do not have any power to implement their ideas without the express authority from the President.
She was responding to tweets on her earlier submission that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s solution to the fight against galamsey is the most practical.
She said “I’d rather judge him if he becomes president.
The vice presidents of this country are hardly allowed to work effectively. If they will all be honest (and none of them truly can because of loyalty), they don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things”.
