Samartex focused on doing well in Ghana Premier League and Africa next season – Richard Duah Nsenkyire

Owner and bankroller of Samartex 1996, Richard Duah Nsenkyire says his outfit is focused on doing well in the Ghana Premier League and Africa next season.

The Timber giants are representing Ghana in the CAF Champions League for the first time in their history after emerging as winners of the Ghana Premier League last campaign.

Samartex will play in three major competitions next season (FA Cup, Ghana Premier League and CAF Champions League).

Ahead of the new season, Mr Duah expressed his sides objective is to do well in the domestic top-flight and in Africa.

“Once we’ve been able to win the league, there will be a lot of pressure on us next season. It’s not that we have to defend the title at all cost” he told Kessben FM, as followed by Footballghana.com.

“Next season, we are going to play three competitions (FA Cup, Ghana Premier League and CAF Champions League) so it is much more about how to deepen our squad, how to get our players fit and not really thinking of winning the league at all cost”

“I think everyone club has to win the league. We are going to have a focus and it is about doing well in Africa and in the Ghana Premier League” he said.
