The Ghana Police Service has today, 31st August 2024, confirmed the arrest of suspect Newwel Gavu for causing damage to a monument and some sign posts at the Airport roundabout in Accra.
The suspect, according to the Ghana Police Service is currently in custody and will be taken through the due process of the law.
The Police used the opportunity to thank civilians who reported the issue.
The suspect was reported to the Ghana Police by Blogger Kobby Kyei who saw him causing destruction to the monument in the early hours of August 31, 2024.
