A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Ekow Spio Garbrah has indicated that Ghanaians should have noticed that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was coming to power to steal things when he plagiarized his inauguration speech.

According to him, it was a clear sign that the man never believed in everything he said and was just in for the power and the opportunity to use the power he had to enrich himself and his family.

Making this known in an interview on Channel One Television, Spio Garbrah who has been Education and Communication Minister in the past, said, “he played a very nice con artist game on Ghanaians because he speaks well.

The first sign is when he plagiarized big word, stole the language of former Presidents of the United States at his inauguration. That is the first sign of somebody coming to steal things and he has never apologized for that,” he said.

To him, the president used slogans like Ghana beyond aid,” things the president did not believe in because he has now overborrowed and Ghana is overwhelmed with debts.
