NPP resorting to frivolous antics because they smell defeat—Sammy Gyamfi

The Communications Director for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has indicated that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has resorted to frivolous allegations.

He believes the political party senses they are losing the elections and therefore wants to push an agenda with frivolity.

Sammy Gyamfi was responding to claims that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is behind the EC agent who tore away Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s details in Kintampo South.

“The NPP is resorting to frivolous allegations because they sense defeat, and they are using such tactics to incite violence and manipulate the election process,” Gyamfi stated.

He indicated that the NDC cannot be blamed for the actions of a staff of the Electoral Commission but rather the commission.

He emphasized, “This was not the NDC’s doing but an action by an Electoral Commission officer. If anyone is to blame, it should be the EC, not the NDC.”

Meanwhile, the Police have taken custody of the suspect, who is assisting with investigations after he tore fifteen ballot papers without the photos and details of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in Kintampo South.
