Ghana’s Information Minister, Fatimatu Abubakar, has expressed optimism that the Ghana U20 women’s national team will advance beyond the Group Stage of the 2024 U20 World Cup for the first time.The Black Princesses, making their seventh consecutive World Cup appearance. Yusif Basigi and his side have been drawn into Group E with New Zealand, Japan and Austria.Previous performances have been disappointing as the Black Princesses failed to advance beyond the group stage in the last six editions.In 2018, Ghana finished third in their group behind France and the Netherlands, securing only a single win against fourth-placed New Zealand.
