Ghanaians deserve an apology – Edudzi Tamakloe  tells Akufo-Addo

Lawyer Edwin Edudzi Tamakloe, the Director of Legal Affairs for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is demanding that President Akufo-Addo apologise to Ghanaians for failing them under his 8-year reign.

During a panel discussion on TV3’s NewDay, Edudzi Tamakloe stated that the country has been turned upside down under the administration of Nana Addo and Dr Bawumia.

Edudzi Tamakloe pointed out that when comparing the NDC government led by John Mahama with Akufo-Addo’s administration, it discovered that in 2016, entrepreneurs could access an impressive $250,000, which was equivalent to GHc1,000,000.

However, due to the cedi’s depreciation against the dollar, a million cedis is now only worth $65,000

“Did you know you needed GHc42,000 in 2016 to get $10,000? But painfully today, if you need $10,000 to buy anything abroad, you need Ghc172,000″ he lamented.

While citing more examples, Edudzi Tamakloe stated that patients under diabetic drugs now need 4 times the amount to purchase the same diabetic drug due to the cedi depreciation. “Are you not ashamed of yourself”, Edudzi questioned Dr Bawumia and his boss, President Akufo-Addo.

According to Edudzi, a lot of diabetic and BP patient are dying on a daily basis because they can’t afford their drugs.

Edudzi Tamakloe further slammed the president, Akufo-Addo for refusing to use the “famous” $53 million for developmental projects in the country but rather used it to “dig a hole” in the quest to build a National Cathedral.

“When President Nana Akufo Addo acquired 58 million dollars, we expected from a man of his advanced age that he would think of the future, instead he used the funding to dig a hole”, Edudzi complained.
