Ghanaian talent Kwasi Poku reacts to joining Belgian club RWD Molenbeek
Ghanaian youngster Kwasi Poku has reacted to his transfer to Belgium second tier club RWD Molenbeek from Canadian Premier League club, Forge FC.The 21-year-old, who converted from a left back to a striker earlier this year, has signed a three-year deal with the former Pro League.The Canadian-Ghanaian took to social media to quote a verse of the Bible, Psalm 27:1, which reads, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”Although Poku has played for the Canada U20 national team, his Ghanaian heritage allows him the option to represent Ghana at the senior international level.Poku has been one of the most exciting players in the entire Canada League this year, earning this move to Europe on the back of an incredible run of form over the summer.In 14 games, Poku scored 10 goals, including memorable finishes against Major League Soccer clubs CF Montréal and Toronto FC as well as eight in the Canada League to push Forge toward the top of the table.
