Darius Rucker Sentenced To One Year Probation On Drug Possession Charges
In a Williamson County courtroom in Franklin, Tennessee, on Tuesday, September 10, Darius Rucker entered a plea of not guilty to his charge of simple possession of a controlled narcotic.
Rucker’s other counts of simple possession and one count of driving with expired tags were dropped when he entered a no-contest plea.
The allegations stem from a traffic encounter in 2023 during which law enforcement discovered drugs in the country singer’s vehicle. Rucker accepted an 11-month and 29-day probationary term in exchange for giving up his right to a trial when he entered a no contest plea.
Upon Rucker’s probationary period ending with no more legal infractions, the charges will be permanently removed from his record.
