Bibiani GoldStars defender William Dankyi expressed his delight in remaining with the Golden Boys, despite interest from other clubs.Dankyi signed a 2-year deal with Bibiani Gold Stars before the 2023/24 season, joining from relegated King Faisal.The left-back, who featured over 20 times in his maiden campaign, has one year left on his contract.Dankyi, formerly of Hearts of Oak, confirmed in an interview with LinusNartey TV on YouTube that several clubs have approached him, but he remains committed to Gold Stars.“Yes, there were clubs that showed interest, but I’m very happy at Gold Stars. I want to keep my focus and concentration on them. We have a contract running, and for now, all my focus is on Gold Stars,” he said.During his four-year stint with Hearts of Oak, Dankyi won the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title and two FA Cup trophies.He later joined King Faisal on a short-term contract, playing a key role in their run to the MTN FA Cup final.
