Bawumia has proven his mettle with the small opportunity given to him – Gabby Otchere-Darko

Leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has indicated that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia the opportunities given to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to operate in were executed with precision.

According to him, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has proven himself to be a problem solver in the various sectors he was given the opportunity to operate in as th Vice President of Ghana.

“Even as Vice President, he has been allowed the room to pursue a vision which is digitization. The thing is what I see about Bawumia is that he is a problem solver. He sees a problem and if he’s given the space, and he has been given some space by his President and those things that he focused on, he brought solutions.

Do you know why we didn’t have a crisis when we didn’t have dollars to buy fuel. Gold for oil. Forget about the prices of fuel, those are determined globally. So those are the things you have to look at. You’re looking at a leader who as Vice President when he was given the space, the areas that they operated in he found solutions to problems that existed in decades,” he said.

He emphasised that “I see him as a man of vision, a man of integrity, a man who has been part of one of the gravest crises that the world has seen and was there and knew what we had to go through to overcome the crisis. So when he is given the opportunity with his own vision, with his own program, with his own men and women, I believe that he is a leader Ghanaians should give an opportunity to.

We’ve Akufo-Addo, we’ve tried Kufour, we’ve tried Mills and We’ve tried John Mahama but I think that the Bawumia that I know and you know and Ghanaians have seen with what he has done with the little space that he has been given,” he said in an interview with Channel 1 TV.
