Asante Kotoko's head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, expressed excitement over the buzz surrounding the club’s new signings, hailing them as quality players who deserve the attention.Speaking ahead of the Porcupine Warriors' 2024/25 Ghana Premier League opener against Karela United on Sunday, September 8, Ogum shared his optimism about the team’s fresh additions.The match, set for 3:00 pm in Nalerigu, follows Kotoko’s sixth-place finish last season, which has put the team under pressure to perform this season.“I think the hype is good for the players. They deserve it because of how good quality they are in terms of their ability to play so to me, I’m excited that they are having the hype around them. What is left now is their ability to control the hype because people will be expecting more from them,” he said"As a technical staff too we need to try as much as possible to engage them meaningfully so that they stay confident, they make the best of simple decisions on the field so that it will help them settle into the Kumasi Asante Kotoko game,” he added.
