Nigerian content creator Jarvis has shared a heartfelt and candid reflection on her boyfriend Peller’s public proposal.
In an appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast with Peller, she spoke about the mix of emotions she experienced when he popped the question in front of a large crowd.
Jarvis began by recalling her immediate reaction: “Actually, I didn’t expect something like that there, and the first thing that went through my mind was no, and the no was very loud in my head. I had to battle myself to conclude.”
Despite her initial shock, she admitted that there was a deeper, more personal reason for her hesitation.
As someone who values her privacy, Jarvis explained that the public nature of the proposal wasn’t her ideal scenario.
“Number one, I’m not a public person, so I don’t like all that kneeling down in front of everybody and everybody saying, ‘Say yes.’”
She emphasized how she could have easily turned down the proposal, despite the overwhelming attention.
However, she clarified, “I could have still disappointed you and said no, but deep down it’s a yes from me.”
On the same platform, what was meant to be another casual talk show appearance turned into a heated dialogue on fidelity.
The couple, freshly engaged and basking in the limelight of Peller’s grand proposal before a UK audience, found themselves dissecting one of the most contentious issues in modern relationships: cheating.
As the discussion unfolded, Peller’s remarks ignited a storm. With an air of nonchalance, he stated, “Let’s not deceive ourselves; it’s almost expected that men will cheat.
“It’s not right, but society seems to normalize it.”
The sentiment, spoken as though it were a universal truth, visibly unsettled Jarvis, who shifted in her seat before cutting him off.
