Use Akufo-Addo’s ex-gratia to complete National Cathedral – Zito

Popular Kumasi-based Social Commentator,  Adu Boampong Augustine affectionately known as Zito has suggested that President Akufo-Addo’s ex-gratia should be used to complete the stalled National Cathedral Project.

The National Cathedral has been stalled for some months after the government expended over Ghc339 million which was disclosed by Abena Osei Asare, the Minister State at the Finance Ministry.

Speaking in an interview with Ambassador Tv monitored by MyNewsNh.com, Zito emphasized that the National Cathedral Project will be added to the numerous abandoned projects in the country when President Akufo-Addo completes his term in office on January 6, 2025.

 “I don’t think the next President either Alan Kyeremanteng, Dr Bawumia or John Mahama will spend tax payers money on National Cathedral project when President Akuffo Addo leaves office”

“The next President after Nana Akuffo Addo is also coming with the aim of fulfilling his promises to Ghana and that person will next waste money on National Cathedral Project which was started by President Akufo-Addo” Zito explained.

 “The most painful part as far as the National Cathedral project is concerned is the fact that it is a project which was commenced by President Akufo-Addo as his personal promised to God. Now taxpayers’ money has been pumped into the National Cathedral Project which can never be allowed to rot. Since the project is Nana Addo’s personal promise to God, his ex-gratia must be diverted to complete the project”
