Traffic Alert: Atomic Junction flyover to be closed for repair works from 3 to 22 October

The Ghana Highway Authority has announced a temporary closure of the Atomic Junction flyover from Thursday 3 October to Tuesday 22 October to enable engineers to carry out scheduled maintenance work on the expansion joints.

The coverings of the expansion joints at the Atomic Junction flyover, which connects Adenta, Madina to Legon on the N4 highway have come off, creating discomfort and fear when driving on that part of the road.

A statement issued by the Ghana Highway Authority on Tuesday (1 October) said the temporary closure will take place between 8pm and 6am from Thursday (3 October).

The Authority has advised motorists to adhere to the traffic management systems to be put in place by the team of engineers working on the expansion and also use alternative routes if possible.
