Asante Kotoko attacker Baba Yahaya has revealed that there is a lot of positivity surrounding the club’s pre-season preparations for the upcoming 2024/25 season.The club’s biggest pre-season game so far has been a 2-1 loss to Medeama in a friendly that inaugurated the renovated TNA Sports Stadium.The team is currently competing in the GHALCA 2024 Tournament, where they won their opening game 1-0 against Bibiani Gold Stars.Speaking about their preparations for the upcoming season, Yahaya said that expectations for the new season cannot be based solely on last year’s performance.“We can’t raise our expectations so high like that. It is now we are starting pre-season and the training we are doing is showing a lot of positiveness.“We hope the training we are undergoing and what our coaches are teaching us in pre-season will come to bear in the upcoming season.”Asante Kotoko are set to open their Ghana Premier League season with an away game against Karela United.
