The Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Armed Forces have assured the public of intensified efforts to control the security situation in Bawku and its surrounding regions.
A statement issued on Sunday (27 October) said a joint operation has been deployed, not only within Bawku but also along the critical Bolgatanga-Walewale-Tamale highway, aimed at stabilising the area and ensuring the safety of residents and travelers.
“We are working to bring the security situation in Bawku, its surrounding areas, and along the Bolgatanga – Walewale – Tamale highway under control,” the statement said.
To reinforce security measures, the security agencies have established joint deployments in both Bawku and along the Bolgatanga-Walewale-Tamale route.
“There is a joint Police and Military deployment along the Bolgatanga-Walewale-Tamale highway to ensure security and manage vehicular traffic,” the statement continued, underscoring the commitment to public safety.
“The security agencies would like to once again assure the public that we are committed to maintaining peace, security, law and order in Bawku and its environs,” the statement concluded.
