Two years ago, a groundbreaking platform emerged on the Ghanaian X (formerly Twitter) scene, capturing the attention of millennials and Gen Zs alike.
“Patriotic Spaces” was launched with a singular mission: to spotlight the achievements of the Akufo-Addo government, delivering untold success stories through the power of social media.
Over the course of two seasons, “Patriotic Spaces” has distinguished itself from conventional political talk shows, offering a unique blend of refreshing and stimulating content. From the triumphs of the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy to the youth employment initiatives championed by the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) and the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), the platform has become a vital voice in communicating the government’s work.
Described by its audience as “unique, refreshing, and thrilling,” “Patriotic Spaces” has hosted an array of government officials, each bringing their expertise to the digital stage.
The show has featured key figures like Prince Sefah of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), who discussed opportunities within the digital economy, and Kofi Ofosu Nkansah of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), who highlighted initiatives aimed at empowering Ghana’s budding entrepreneurs. Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) also made an appearance, shedding light on the mining sector’s potential.
As “Patriotic Spaces” gears up for its third season, set to launch this Wednesday at 6 p.m., the platform is poised to deepen its impact ahead of Ghana’s 2024 General Election.
This new season will be hosted by Lawyer Kow Essuman, Counsel to the President of Ghana, who embodies the show’s ethos of “enlightenment through patriotism.” Essuman is prepared to lead the nation through a series of discussions that will focus on the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) manifesto, inviting citizens to voice their opinions and engage in shaping the future.
“Patriotic Spaces” stands ready to spark a national conversation that will reverberate throughout Ghana. As the nation approaches a critical electoral moment, the show offers a platform for citizens to make their voices heard and contribute to forging a brighter tomorrow.
Join the space this Wednesday and be part of a movement that blends technology, patriotism, and dialogue to shape Ghana’s future.
