The second lady, Hajia Samira Bawumia, has called on electorates to vote massively for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December 2020 polls to sustain the giant economic gains made so far.
She said the NPP has chalked up remarkable successes by turning the fortunes of the country around and assured that the party remained committed to sustaining the gains while building a resilient and robust economy for the general well-being of all citizens.
Samira Bawumia was speaking during a tour of the Oti Region at Akan, on Tuesday (23 July) as part of a three-day tour of the Oti Region.
She highlighted on the creation of one million jobs for youth in information technology (IT).
“Bawumia has championed the digitalisation policy, Ghana Card, and job creation for youths among others and he is ready to do more when given the mandate as the next president of Ghana,” she said.
“Ghana needs a visionary leader who is ready to sympathise with Ghanaians and is willing to go down to support every Ghanaian and that person is Bawumia”
She said the NPP government had done a lot, with the icing being the free SHS policy, and appealed to the rank and file to bury their differences and unite with one accord to ensure massive electoral victory in the 2020 polls.
“The NPP government has done a lot for the people of Ghana and must be rewarded with your votes come the general election ”
“I am confident that, the flagbearer, Bawumia, will continue with the good initiatives by president Nana Addo.”
She commends the government for its immeasurable contributions to education, health, and roads, among others in the Oti region.
The second lady was met with heartwarming party folks who have shown their support and readiness to go down the line to campaign for the party to maintain power.
The second lady also donated some medical equipment to the Worawora government hospital within the Biakoye district of the Oti region.
The tour by the second lady has commenced from Buem constituency, Akan, Biakoye, Guan, Krachi East, Nkwanta North and South, and is expected to end at Krachi West.
