The police in Walewale have held three people over development that sparked chaos at the voting centre in the ongoing parliamentary primary.
The three individuals, Yakubu Amin, Sumani Fatau, and another person identified as Akam, were arrested by the military and handed over to the police.
The arrests occurred when a “macho man” attempted to enter the Pentecostal Church where voting was taking place, accompanied by the MP Hajia Lariba Abudu Zuwera.
However, the youth prevented the “macho man” from entering, leading to a chaotic scene.
The military officers intervened, protecting the “macho man”, but the resistance from supporters resulted in the military arresting three persons and handing them over to the police for questioning.
Meanwhile, security personnel successfully brought the situation under control, allowing the electoral process to continue.
