Mustapha Tassah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Akan constituency, launched his campaign with a bold promise to rejuvenate the local economy through job creation initiatives and industrial development if elected as the next Member of Parliament (MP).
Addressing supporters at his campaign kickoff on Saturday (19 October), Tassah criticised the longstanding neglect by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the past 32 years, asserting that it’s time for a transformative change in leadership to foster growth and development.
“The people of Akan Constitutuency have been voting for NDC for the past 32 years without seeing the benefits of voting,” Tassah asserted in an exclusive interview with asaaseradio.com following the event.
“I have come to change the narratives of the development of the area as a well-vested resident who has the constituents at heart and will ensure job creations, establish factories, promote fish farming and processing, make sports attractive as a source of development and job creation for the youths, give scholarships and also construct the roads within the Kadjebi district.”
Highlighting his community-focused initiatives, Tassah emphasised his track record of delivering essential services such as clean water, electricity, and street lighting to numerous communities within the district, emphasising his commitment to replicate these successes across the Akan Constituency.
Joining Tassah in rallying support for his candidature, Kadjebi District Chief Executive (DCE) Wilson Agbanyo urged residents to unite behind the NPP’s vision for change.
“We have suffered a lot under NDC and it’s time to rewrite our story by sending the able lawyer Mustapha Tassah to represent us and bring development to the area,” Agbanyo asserted.
As the campaign gains momentum, Tassah remains steadfast in his promise to empower youth with employment opportunities and elevate Akan Constituency onto a path of sustainable prosperity.
