An 18-year-old female employee of Siim Lina Guest House in Bolgatanga has accused a military officer of raping her at the facility. The incident occurred on September 2nd, 2024 at about 9:00 am when the officer, who was wearing a Manchester City replica jersey, checked into the guest house.
According to the post on Facebook by Nicolas Azebire, a journalist based in the region, the officer had expected a female guest who arrived shortly after on a tricycle.
However, the guest left the facility within a few minutes, leaving the officer alone with the young employee. It is alleged that the officer then made advances towards her, which she rejected.
The situation escalated, with the officer reportedly dragging the victim by the hair and forcing himself upon her.
The guest house management has accompanied the victim to file a police report. Authorities are currently investigating the matter and searching for the accused military officer.
