Maintain John Mahama in his current position as former President – Bawumia urges Ghanaians

Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged the people of Ghana to maintain John Dramani Mahama in his current position as a former president.

He is of the view that Ghana needs a president who looks into the future, not one who will draw the country back.

Adding to that, the West African country needs a president who believes in possibilities and not one who does not believe in possibilities.

The NPP flagbearer was speaking at a youth connect programme when he made this known.

He said that under his leadership, Ghana will become a beacon in Africa and the world will understand how it’s important it is to believe in possibilities.

“We are going to elect a new President in December 2024. When I say a new president, I mean a new President and not a second-hand president. We are going to elect a president who will take us into the future, not a president who will take us back into the past.

We are looking forward; we are not going backwards. We want a president who thinks about possibilities, not impossibilities. We want Ghana to become a beacon for all African countries for all the world to see what can be done with possibilities. Former President Mahama is a former president; let’s maintain him as a former president,” he said.
