Violent Clashes in Kukuom: Young Man Fights for Life as Police Arrest NDC Member

Violent clashes erupted in Kukuom, Asunafo South District, during the ongoing limited voter registration, leaving a young man battling for his life at the Sunyani Teaching Hospital. "A few days ago, two NDC MPs, Hon. Collins Dauda and Hon. Eric Opoku were reported to have led some NDC hoodlums to fire gunshots in the full glare of people at a registration centre in Kukuom, in the Asunafo South District," Nana B stated. He further highlighted his visit to the injured young man at the hospital, emphasizing the need for justice and accountability in the face of such violence.

Nana B's statement also raised concerns about the perceived impunity of the NDC in the Ahafo region, urging the police to curb violence and maintain law and order during voter registration exercises. The release of vehicles used in criminal activities, including a white Toyota Tundra and a red Toyota Hilux, has underscored the urgency of addressing the root causes of political violence and ensuring the safety of citizens participating in the electoral process.
