Intelligent Napo hasn’t done anything that has cost the NPP—Hackman Owusu Agyemang

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hackman Owusu Agyemang, has backed Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh ahead of the 2024 elections.

According to him, the vice presidential candidate for the governing NPP has proven his quality as a politician, especially during the 2024 elections.

He acknowledged that even though there are some mistakes in some of his utterances, those mistakes are pardonable and have not cost the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“I think that as a politician, he is very good, and I am told that as a surgeon, he is also very good. He has what it takes. He may make one or two mistakes because when you stand on that platform…It was a mistake, like I want to mention Evans and I mention Ashiegbe; it is human nature; it is a slip of the tongue. Sometimes when you’re really worked up, you tend to lose that.

I don’t know of anything that Napo has done that may seem to have caused us problems. I think that he is doing very well. Today, you see him up Western North the next day you see him somewhere. I don’t know how he does it, but he has a lot of energy; he wants to move on. He’s young articulate but sometimes we all make mistakes. One or two things I know of. The first thing when he spoke about Kwame Nkrumah. The people who don’t know the story will say it is a mistake but if I said it, I can prove it. What Kwame Nkrumah did to us or Rawlings did to us…
