I'm not surprised to see Abdulai Mukarama thriving now - Yussif Basigi

Hasaacas Ladies head coach, Yussif Basigi, has expressed his lack of surprise at the success of striker Mukarama Abdulai, following her recognition as the Home-Based Female Footballer of the Year at the 2024 Ghana Football Awards.Basigi's comments came in light of Abdulai's remarkable comeback after a prolonged injury absence, during which she played a crucial role in the Black Princesses' gold medal triumph at the 2023 African Games.“I realized that such a household name, you don’t need to let her go rotten after having sat home for almost one and a half years due to injury, we had to ensure that she got recuperated."I took her to Takoradi to bring her back on track. She agreed and I’m not surprised this time around, she is making it” Basigi said in an interview with Channel One Sports.Mukarama's return saw her contribute significantly to Hasaacas Ladies' success in clinching the Women's Premier League title.She has been included in the Black Queens squad for their friendly game against Japan this month.
