Black Stars striker Brandon Thomas-Asante has said he would have liked to start more games for Coventry City following his summer switch.The 25-year-old signed for Coventry from fellow Championship side West Brom during the summer transfer window.Asante is currently with the Black Stars preparing for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger this coming Thursday and next Monday, respectively.“I’ve changed teams, so it’s been a transitional period. Honestly, when you move to a new team, it’s similar to what happened with Aguero when he went to Man City. He didn’t get into the team right away,” he told the press after Monday’s training session in Accra.“So, at the moment, I’d like to have started more games, but I know the manager believes in me and I also know the ability of my squad.“I’ll continue to work hard for more opportunities, but I’m enjoying my new surroundings back in England, and I’m looking forward to picking up where we left off when I return to England.”
