Hearts of Oak’s problem is management – Ex-chairman Harry Zakour insists

Former Hearts of Oak Chairman Harry Zakour has cited managerial deficiency for the club’s struggle in recent times.The Phobians narrowly escaped relegation in the just concluded Ghana Premier League campaign. The Ghanaian had to beat Bechem United at all cost to maintain their status in the Ghanaian top-flight.Speaking to Happy FM, Harry Zakour, who led the team to achieve numerous success asserted the current board members lack the necessary football expertise to effectively manage the club.He added that, Togbe Afede, the club’s current executive board chairman, means well but needs the right people around.“Togbe Afede means well but he needs the right people to be able to run the club and take it to higher heights”.He emphasized that the club’s problems stem from poor management rather than the technical team. Zakour noted that the constant sacking of coaches has not led to any significant improvement in the team’s performance.“Hearts of Oak’s problem is the management and not the technical team. They have sacked coaches always but the result doesn’t change” he said.
