Ghanaian politician vows to get Division One League club in Amasaman
Yahaya Kassim Atta, who is the Amasaman parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party has express his dissatisfaction about lack of a team in the constituency for the Ghana Division One League.He has therefore promised to help the constituency get a club in the Ghana second-tier league when voted into power in the upcoming elections.The last time a club from the constituency featured in the Division One League was in 2008, when Bright Future emerged as champions of the Eastern region second division.Speaking to Mothers FM, Yahaya Kassim Atta disclosed his love for sports and pledged to bring back a Division One League to his constituency.“I will plead with Amasaman and assure them a Division One League slot when voted as MP. Amasaman will get a Division League slot back because our own Bright Future FC is nowhere to be found. I will plead with them to get a visionary leader and who has football at heart. They should just push me to the Parliament and I promise them of a Division One League slot”. I am a creative leader, I will construct my own for the community and lobby for another one from the government because God has blessed me with the lobbing skills. We will get about two AstroTurf from the government before mine which will makes it three”. he added.
