Ghanaian midfielder Sabit Abdulai joins Brazilian club Botafogo

Brazilian club, Botafogo FC SP has bolstered their squad with the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Sabit Abdulai.Abdulai, who has represented Ghana on the international stage, arrived in Ribeirão Preto on August 6 and has been training with the team since.With all documentation now finalized, he is set to be available for selection by coach Paulo Gomes for the upcoming Brazilian Serie B fixtures.Abdulai's football journey began with Spartans FC in Ghana before he made a move to Spain in 2017, joining UD Extremadura.His impressive performances there led to a stint with La Liga side Getafe CF, where he gained experience in one of Europe's top leagues.He also played for Ponferradina, Lugo, and Real Murcia during his time in Spain, further refining his skills.Internationally, the 25-year-old midfielder has represented Ghana at various youth levels. He was part of the Ghana U20 team that competed in the Africa Cup of Nations and later featured for the U23 team in friendlies.The Ghanaian known for his versatility and work ethic is expected to be a key asset for Botafogo as they aim to strengthen their squad and achieve their goals this season.
