Ghanaian goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim joins Ethiopian Coffee SC on two-year deal
Ethiopian Coffee SC has officially signed Ghanaian goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim on a two-year contract, ending weeks of speculation about his next move following his departure from Asante Kotoko.Danlad, who previously played for the Ghanaian giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC, won the Ghana Premier League with the Porcupine Warriors.As the first-choice goalkeeper and deputy captain for Ghana's Black Satellites, Danlad secured both the WAFU and CAF U-20 championships. He was also part of the Black Stars squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and later became the regular starter for the local Black Stars, known as the Black Galaxies.After being one of 18 players released by Kotoko at the end of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, Danlad has embarked on a new chapter in his career in Ethiopia.His experience is expected to significantly bolster the goalkeeper department at Ethiopian Coffee SC.Ethiopian Coffee SC, founded in 1976, is one of Ethiopia's oldest and most popular football clubs, known for their passionate fan base and rich history in Ethiopian football.The club has won multiple Ethiopian Premier League titles and is regarded as a symbol of pride in the country's football scene.
