Former Hearts of Oak striker Kofi Kordzi said Ghana Premier League players are suffering because their salaries are nothing to write home about.He believes players are willing to transfer to the most remote leagues for better salaries because the salaries in the local league are very low.Reports indicate that some players in the GPL earn as little as GH₵300 per month, which highlights the financial challenges faced by many athletes in the league.This figure is particularly concerning given that these players are considered professionals in their field.“The Ghana Premier League players as a whole are suffering. All of it is about the low wages,” Kordzi said in an interview aired on Asempa FM as monitored by footballghana.com.“That’s why when some players play in the league small they prefer to go to Togo for better wages to cater for their families.“The salary comes but some teams too it doesn’t come. Some measures should be put in place so the government can help.”
