Ghana defender Baba Rahman reacts to PAOK's emphatic win over Shamrock Rovers in Europa League

Ghana international Baba Rahman was instrumental when PAOK secured an emphatic win over Shamrock Rovers in the UEFA Europa League final qualification.

The Greek outfit inflicted a 4-0 win over their opponent in the first leg tie played at the Toumbas Arena on Thursday night, making the return fixture a mere formality.

The former Chelsea left-back starred for PAOK, registering his name on the scoresheet in the thrilling clash.

Baba Rahman lasted the entire duration and produced an eye pleasing performance for his outfit as they edge close to securing qualification to the group stage of the Europa League.

"We are getting there now," he wrote after the game.

The Greek side took the lead just before halftime, courtesy of an own goal by Daniel Cleary in the 45+5 minute.

PAOK made light work of the Irish club after the halftime break, firing home three additional goals to secure an emphatic win.

The home team scored to extend their lead in the match through Taison, just two minutes into the second half. Shamrock Rovers were dealt with a further blow following the dismissal of Joshua Honohan in 52nd minute.

The red card weakened Shamrock Rovers as they concede two additional goals in the game. Giannis Konstantelias scored his outfit third goal in the 67th minute before the Ghanaian defender cemented the win with a late strike.

The goal marks Rahman’s second in three games as he continue to impress for the Greek club.
