Free SHS is nothing special; you did it with taxpayers money – Rev. Owusu Bempah

The Founder of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah has questioned the New Patriotic Party’s claim of making lives better with Free SHS.

He argues that the party in power has done nothing more than just use the country’s money for the benefit of the people.

Owusu Bempah was speaking to his congregants in Church when he made this known.

“They are touting Free education. I beg you, is it the president’s personal money he used for free education? Is it not our own money and the taxes we paid that he used for Free education?

If our money is with the government and the government uses it to provide education is it free? I’m an objective person. They talk as if they implemented the free education with their own money but the truth is that it is our own money so they have done nothing special,” he said.

Prior to winning power in 2016, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo spoke highly of the need for Senior High School education to be free.

He implemented the policy after winning political power in 2017 and the policy has led to several young Ghanaians getting access to secondary education, which hitherto was not the case.
