Fear grips parents over O’Reilly SHS murder

Some parents who have a ward at the O’Reilly Senior High School have expressed worry over the safety of their children.

MyNewsGh.com earlier reported that a student had been stabbed by his colleague after an argument they were having turned physical.

Father of the deceased student, Edward Borketey, was at the school’s premises with his family and friends but was not allowed entry onto the school’s campus.

Reports indicate that tempers are rising as people in the community who are infuriated by the action of the student have decided to storm the school and cause havoc.

“I’ve been to the campus, and the situation is now calm. The teachers say they have talked to the town folks and are working to ensure calm returns. But the students say the town folks say they will come back. The boy lives around here, and they say they are the Chiefs people in the community. They say the boy is a royal; that is why they are doing that.

My daughter is not feeling safe because she has not witnessed something like this before. This is the first time she has encountered such a serious demonstration or something of a sort so she is scared and afraid. ” a father who spoke to the media said.
