Derrick Kohn will improve our team – Werder Bremen coach Ole Werner
Werder Bremen’s head coach, Ole Werner, believes the club will be improved with the signing of Ghanaian defender Derrick Arthur Köhn.The 25-year-old left-back has joined the German Bundesliga side from Turkish Süper Lig club Galatasaray on a season-long loan.There is an option for Werder Bremen to sign the Turkish champion on a permanent deal.Speaking after the club announced the deal, Ole Werner praised Köhn’s versatility and his ability to score goals and provide assists.“Derrick can play in a number of different positions down the left flank. He’s quick and understands the game well.“He chipped in with a lot of assists and goals while playing in a defensive role at Hannover. We’re convinced that he’s going to improve our squad.”Last season, Derrick Köhn made 13 appearances in the Turkish Süper Lig.He scored one goal and provided two assists since joining in February from Hannover.Köhn has not yet been capped by Germany and is eligible to play for Ghana at the senior level.
