Nsoatreman FC coach Yaw Preko has set his sights on a convincing win against Elect-Sports in the preliminary round ahead of their maiden participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Ghanaian side will host their Chadian opponent at the Accra Sports Stadium on August 18 with kick-off scheduled at 15:00GMT.

Preko, who took over the reins of the team on a two-year deal, emphasized the importance of securing a strong start in the competition.

He believes that recording a solid win in the first leg will give them a manageable scoreline to defend in the return leg, which will be played in Cameroon on August 24.

“The return leg will be in Cameroun, so we must secure a solid victory in the first leg," he told Graphic Sports.

"We need to finish the job here and manage the scoreline in the second leg,” Preko added.

The away leg will be played at the Stade Omnisports Idriss Mahamat Ouya in N'Djamena, which does not meet CAF's standards for hosting international matches.

To prepare for their maiden appearance in the competition, Nsoatreman FC has strengthened their squad with new recruits including Daniel Amoo, Adom Kwesi Yeboah, Solomon Oblitey Commey, Emmanuel Ankra, Richmond Opoku, Laar Ibrahim, and former Black Starlets captain Benjamin Tsivanyo.
