Bawumia owes me $7 Million – Sam George

The Member of Parliament(MP) for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George says the Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia owes him $7 million because he promised $1 million per constituency every year.

It would be recalled that in the run-up to the  2016 polls, the current Vice President  then running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) disclosed when the NPP government comes into power, it will offer one million dollars every year to the various constituencies for infrastructural developments

He said that the promise made was non-negotiable and will be delivered when the party takes over the reins of governance in 2017, pledging to restore the economy that will create jobs for Ghanaians.

During an interview on GhOne with Serwah Amihere, Sam George stated that Dr Bawumia lacks credibility and cannot be trusted.

“You say Dr. Bawumia should be trusted. Was it not Dr Bawumia who went to promise one million dollars per constituency?” Sam George questioned.

According to Sam George, he has not received the money Dr Bawumia promised so he owes him $7 million. He further added that Dr Bawumia must pay the said amount of money because he promised every constituency.

“It’s either Bawumia lied because he is a liar and we can’t trust him with anything he tells or promises today”, he insisted.

According to Sam George, the government projects under the 1 million dollars per constituency are three. He mentioned the government only built a 12-seater toilet and the other one is a six-seater toilet.

He further questioned how $7 million could be used to build toilet facilities in a whole constituency.
