A 26-year-old teacher has lost his sight after he was stabbed in the eye by a student of the Asuoso Senior High School in Offinson North.
According to a report by Channel 1 Television, the student whose name is given as Alex Annor was punished by the teacher.
Peeved by the disciplinary action, Alex Annor got into a heated confrontation with the teacher, leading to him being stabbed in the eyes.
The student was reported to the police and was arrested but was granted bail.
The Ashanti Regional Chapter of the Ghana National Teachers Association (GNAT) has called for justice for the teacher who spoke to Channel 1 Television said the school has been suspended following threats from young people in the community.
