Article: Bawumia wants Ghanaians to buy phones and pay in bits; Mahama’s NDC says it is impossible

Vice President and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is known for his limpid, innovative, and futuristic approach to dealing with challenges confronting society.

He is widely praised for his ability to think critically and ideate practical solutions to problems. He is always one step ahead of the pack.

It is for this reason that the opposition NDC and their brick-and-mortar candidate, John Mahama, struggle to keep pace with him.

Once again, Dr Bawumia has stated that sooner than later, through a credit score system to be worked out, and in collaboration with the mobile telecommunication networks, Ghanaians will be able to purchase phones and pay them in bits till they can finish the payment.

As usual, the never-do-wells, the sleepy hollows, the party whose members are bankrupt in generating ideas, and people who see today as not being different from tomorrow, have sought to pooh-pooh the idea.

In the UK, the US, and several other advanced economies, even in some African countries, such purchases are common.

People are given phones for two years to pay and this is done through their credit score system. How is this an impossibility in Ghana?

Mahama and his people are still filled with Stone Age ideas, ideas that belong to the past 50 years or so. How do we develop with such people being integral parts of our society?

It’d be a tragedy to have John Mahama as president again. While Bawumia is looking into the future and how best to send us there, John Mahama is aiming to send us back in time. Ghana has no future in the hands of these NDC folks!
