2023/24 Ghana Premier League: Steven Mukwala, Amankona & Ebenezer Abban nominated for May-June PoTM award

Three players have been shortlisted for the May/June Player of the Month award for the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.The Ghanaian top-flight league campaign was climaxed last season with FC Samartex clinching the title.In the final month of the season, Berekum Chelsea’s Stephen Amankona has been nominated for the Player of the Month award.He is in contention for the award alongside Asante Kotoko striker Steven Mukwala and Heart of Lions centre-back Ebenezer Annan.“Ebenezer Abban made the shortlist after scoring seven goals in six League games and one NASCO Man of the match award.“Berekum Chelsea’s Stephen Amankona who finished the season as the top scorer, played six League games and scored seven goals in 509 minutes of football. The forward picked up one NASCO player of the match award in the month of May/June.“The third player is Steven Desse Mukwala of Asante Kotoko who scored four goals in four League matches. Mukwala played 360 minutes for the Reds and won one player of the match award,” parts of a statement said about the nominations.According to the Ghana FA, the winner will be presented with a 43-inch NASCO Television set from ElectroLand Ghana Limited.

Three players have been shortlisted for the May/June Player of the Month award for the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

In the final month of the season, Berekum Chelsea’s Stephen Amankona has been nominated for the Player of the Month award.

He is in contention for the award alongside Asante Kotoko striker Steven Mukwala and Heart of Lions centre-back Ebenezer Annan.

“Ebenezer Abban made the shortlist after scoring seven goals in six League games and one NASCO Man of the match award.

“Berekum Chelsea’s Stephen Amankona who finished the season as the top scorer, played six League games and scored seven goals in 509 minutes of football. The forward picked up one NASCO player of the match award in the month of May/June.
